Rev. Randy Wells

Born and raised in uptown New Orleans, Rev. Randy Wells is a proud product of the public school system. Randy earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Orleans in Sociology with a Minor in Political Science (1990) as well as a Master’s of Social Work degree from Southern University at New Orleans (1996).  He has dedicated three decades of his life working and developing national best practice programs in the areas of at-risk children, youth, and families. 

Randy currently resides in Brenham, Texas, “The Home of Blue Bell Ice Cream,” where he has become an integral part of the community.  He currently serves as Executive Director of Faith Mission, the clearinghouse for health and social services.  Randy is active on numerous boards and civic organizations which include: Blinn Junior College Board of Trustees, Past-Chairman Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Past-President Washington County Ministerial Association, Chairman, Past-Chairman and many more.

Randy has been happily married for 28 years to his lovely wife Nelda Wells He is the very proud father of a 22 year old daughter Randi A. Wells who is a graduating senior at Lamar University and a 15year old son Thomas A. Wells who is a sophomore at Brenham High School. 

Rev. Wells is an ordained minister who has conducted preaching, teaching and training in foreign mission fields including Kenya, Africa, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and Freeport, Bahamas.  He is the creator and host of Building Bridges to the Bahamas Radio Broadcast, which airs in two countries. His most common saying is, “I am just a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about somebody, named Jesus Christ who can save anybody.” Rev. Wells is the author of two books, The Grandmother’s Rule and Few Fathers.
